School Library Training Held on Panggang Island

Seribu Island Library Section's Technical Working Unit 1 held training of school library management at Panggang Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Island Sub-district.

IKRA Participants in Kemayoran Sub-district AppreciatedSeribu Island UKT 1' Library and Archive Section Head, Windarwati, said this activity aims to improve the quality and National Library Standards (SNP) of each library. This is a requirement and obtains accreditation with the best value.
"Usually libraries still lack training and human resources. We are here to help improve the quality of everything, from book collections to human resources skills," she said, Monday (5/27).
According to her, the training focused on library administrator of elementary, junior high school, and senior high school on Panggang and Pramuka Islands.
Participants were given an understanding of management procedures which serve as guidelines for implementing library management in the school environment. So, the collection search process can be carried out quickly, precisely and efficiently.
"They are also provided with knowledge related to improving human resources so they can hone themselves to be faster in selecting, maintaining and providing services," she added.
She hopes that all libraries in the Seribu Islands can achieve accreditation with the best grades and support a culture of reading for the younger generation.
Meanwhile, one of training participants, a teacher of MTSN 26 Jakarta, Tubagus Muhammad Agung, thanked the training held for them.
"Hopefully school library on Panggang Island Urban Village will be more professional and creative," he stated.
